Sachin, Sehwag rested; Mithun in for Final ODI

Rohit Sharma AhmedabadHaving sealed the 3-ODI Series 2-0, India has made changes to its squad for the third and final ODI on the 27th at Ahmedabad. Virender Sehwag and ODI’s only double centurion – Sachin Tendulkar have been given the much needed rest. The Selectors have also rested swing bowler Praveen Kumar to try out rookie Abhimanyu Mithun. Replacing the duo of Sehwag and Sachin are Murali Vijay and Rohit Sharma.

The Selectors have also named 30 probables for the upcoming Twenty20 World Cup in the Caribbean which begins on April 30. The most prominent inclusion is that of the dashing Manish Pandey while the crucial exclusion is that of all-rounder Irfan Pathan. The younger Pathan was ruled out of action with a back injury.
