Virender Sehwag wasted no time in a scintillating knock of 75 that came in 34 balls with the help of 8 fours and 5 sixes to lead Delhi Daredevils to a cakewalk victory at Ahmedabad. Sehwag’s blistering knock saw the Daredevils beating Rajasthan Royals by six wickets with 17 balls to spare in moderate chase of 142. The bowling from Rajasthan Royals was mediocre to say the least though there was the express pace from Shaun Tait.
Asked to bat first after losing the toss, Rajasthan Royals struggled to reach 141 for 6 after a top order failure of 50 for 4. Indian domestic batsmen – Abhishek Jhunjhunwala (53 from 45 balls) and Paras Dogra (29) ensured that the Royals got something on the board to bowl at.
There was a new leg spinner unleashed by the Daredevils in Sarabjit Ladda who semed pretty impressive with his quicker Anil Kumble type of bowling. On the other hand, Amit Mishra seemed to be improving and most importantly bowling in difficult situations.
