Shikhar Dhawan hits double century in a List A Match

Shikhar DhawanShikhar Dhawan on Monday played an unbelievable knock scoring 248 for India A against South Africa A in an unofficial One Dayer at the LC de Villiers Oval in Pretoria. Dhawan scored 248 from 150 balls with 30 fours and 7 sixes before he was dismissed in the 45th over. The left-hander missed the World Record for the highest individual score in List A by 20 runs which is held by former England and Surrey batsman Alistair Brown (more known as Ali Brown) who scored 268 against Glamorgan in 2002.

Dhawan’s dream knock helped India A pile up a massive total of 433 for 3. There was a century for the India A Captain Cheteshwar Pujara as well. It was not a cakewalk victory for India A despite posting 433 on the board as the homeside went onto score 394 before running out of ammunition. Reeza Hendricks and South Africa discard Vaughn van Jaarsveld scored centuries. India A thanks to Dhawan’s heroics has entered into the Final of the South Africa A Team Tri-Series and will meet Australia A.
