Mahela JayawardeneAn injury-hit Sri Lanka has called up three players to join its squad in Bangladesh. Mahela Jayawardene, who was rested after a groin strain on India Tour is one of the three players to join the squad.

The biggest injury worry for Sri Lanka is that of Tillakaratne Dilshan who has been in a dream form since the last year. Dilshan had sustained a groin injury during his century knock in the opening game against Bangladesh.

Chamara Silva is perhaps the most unlucky bloke currently as he had just made a comeback into the Lankan team but only to be ruled out with a fractured thumb. Chamara has already returned back home without facing a single ball in this tournament.

During the second match of the Tri-Series, all-rounder M Pushpakumara jarred his shoulder while trying to stop a shot at mid wicket. The bulky all-rounder wasn’t fit to bat during the Lankan chase against India. He along with Dilshan has been kept under observation in Bangladesh.

Apart from Mahela Jayawardene, the two other players joining the squad are left handed opener Mahela Udawatte and a new face in 20-year-old Dinesh Chandimal who is a Wicket Keeper Batsman.
