Baroda took the crucial first innings lead against Bengal despite Veteran batsman Sourav Ganguly coming good with 76 (from 97 balls with 14 fours). Bengal were bowled out for 293 in reply to Baroda’s first innings total of 307 and in their second innings are at 58 for 1.

This match at the Eden Gardens is heading towards a draw but Baroda will be happy as they are going to take three points from the match. Apart from Ganguly, Skipper Laxmi Ratan Shukla batted well to score 69. For Baroda, Irfan Pathan picked up three wickets while Murtuja Vahora got four.
