Sreesanth rewarded with ODI recall

Sreesanth has been rewarded with a recall in the India ODI and T20I Squads following his match-winning efforts in the Kanpur Test. The Kerala fast bowler’s last ODI was the second CB Series Final in March 2008. Also coming back into the ODI Squad is Zaheer Khan. Both Ishant Sharma and Munaf Patel have been dropped. Like Sreesanth, Pragyan Ojha gets to make a comeback in the ODI Squad with leggie Amit Mishra making way for him.

The Selectors have named a 15-man squad for the first two ODIs against Sri Lanka and also a 15-man squad for the T20Is which has a couple of new faces in R Ashwin and Ashok Dinda. Harbhajan Singh has been rested for the T20Is and his place has gone to Tamil Nadu off spinner R.Ashwin who has also struck a century this season. Bengal’s Ashok Dinda and Uttar Pradesh’s Sudeep Tyagi are the two fresh fast bowlers in the T20 Squad replacing Irfan Pathan and Praveen Kumar.

The two T20Is between India and Sri Lanka are on the 9th and 12th followed up by the 5-ODI Series which begins on the 15th at Rajkot.
