Tamil Nadu are strongly placed at 198 for 2 in reply to Gujarat’s 343 at Stumps on Day 2 at Ahmedabad. Opener Murali Vijay is batting on an unbeaten 91 and one drop batsman Arun Karthik contributed 87. Tamil Nadu look good to go past the 343-run mark as the Gujarat bowling hasn’t shown much penetration.
Gujarat had won the toss and batted first in this Ranji Trophy Super League match at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Stadium. Skipper Parthiv Patel led from the front to score 166. Bhavik Thakker was the next highest scorer with 72. For Tamil Nadu, L Balaji and Aushik Srinivas picked up four wickets each.
