Sachin Tendulkar Brabourne StadiumSachin Tendulkar scored a responsible knock of 72 from 52 balls (with 5 fours and 3 sixes) to help Mumbai Indians chase down a solid target of 181 at the Brabourne Stadium. Delhi opener Shikhar Dhawan with 56 from 34 balls laid the impetus for Mumbai Indians while Sachin almost saw the game through. Chennai Super Kings had lost the game in one over from Sri Lankan Thissara Perera which leaked 19 runs at a crucial juncture.

Chennai Super Kings had earlier put on an impressive 180 for 2 thanks to a superb unbroken stand of 142 between Suresh Raina (83 not out from 52 balls with 7 fours and 3 sixes) and S Badrinath (55 not out from 45 balls with 6 fours). MS Dhoni who returned back from the elbow injury didn’t get to bat at all.
