Twenty wickets fall down on Day 1 of Baroda Vs Saurashtra

It was a bowler’s day out at the Moti Bagh Stadium in Vadodara with as many as 20 wickets falling down in about 78 overs of cricket on the opening day’s play between Baroda and Saurashtra. Saurashtra asked to bat first were packed for 127 in 35 overs with Munaf Patel taking 5 for 48 in 16 overs and Irfan Pathan taking 3 for 41.

Baroda in their first innings conceded a tiny 3-run lead after getting bundled out for 124 in 40.5 overs. Jayesh Odedra took 5 wickets with his medium pace in a little under 11 overs for Saurashtra. Sandeep Maniar took three wickets as well. The top scorer of the day was Saurashtra opener Sagar Jogiyani who made 36. Saurashtra have already started their second innings and are at 4 for no loss in 2 overs.
