Uttar Pradesh just managed to get the crucial first innings lead against Baroda by six runs. The hosts were bowled out for 240 in their first innings in reply to Baroda’s 236. In their second innings, Baroda are at 60 for 3 with medium pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar taking all the three wickets to fall.

For Uttar Pradesh, the batting star was Piyush Chawla who scored a brilliant 65 which helped his team recover from a score of 89 for 5. Munaf Patel did well for Baroda to capture four wickets.
