Delhi Daredevils Captain and India Opener Virender Sehwag has decided to skip the rest of the IPL to undergo a shoulder surgery somewhere this week. The rehabilitation period for this shoulder injury is expected to be around 6-8 weeks which means that Sehwag will certainly miss the upcoming West Indies tour after the IPL and is a doubtful starter for the England tour which starts in July.
In Sehwag’s absence, Delhi Daredevils will be led by Australian – James Hopes. Sehwag had already suffered with a right shoulder injury in the past when he was forced to miss the ICC World Twenty20 2010 in West Indies. Sehwag is expected to fly to London to get the surgery done as early as possible.
