Hosts West Indies have won the toss and elected to bat first in the first ODI at the Queen’s Park Oval in Port of Spain, Trinidad. Its a hot and humid morning at Port of Spain with the pitch traditionally expected to take turn while the seamers could struggle to find any joy from the surface. Batting may not be too difficult except against the spinners.

West Indies have left out the big hitting Kieron Pollard from their side which sees the return of the experienced Sarwan and Dwayne Bravo. India have left out R Ashwin to draft in leg spinner Amit Mishra who will partner Harbhajan Singh in the spin department. India has gone in with the same opening combination of Shikhar Dhawan and Parthiv Patel as was the case in the Only T20I.

West Indies : Lendl Simmons, Kirk Edwards, Darren Bravo, Marlon Samuels, Ramnaresh Sarwan, Dwayne Bravo, Carlton Baugh (WK), Darren Sammy (C), Devendra Bishoo, Ravi Rampaul and Anthony Martin

India : Shikhar Dhawan, Parthiv Patel (WK), Suresh Raina (C), Virat Kohli, S Badrinath, Rohit Sharma, Yusuf Pathan, A Mishra, Harbhajan Singh, Praveen Kumar and Munaf Patel
