West Indies have given a recall to the 29-year-old Barbados left arm pacer Pedro Collins in their 13-man squad for the 2nd Test match against India at St.Lucia. Pedro Collins has replaced the injured Fidel Edwards, who incidentally is his half-brother! Fidel Edwards had strained his hamstring after bowling one short ball too many at Virender Sehwag and he couldn’t come back to bowl again in the 1st Test match at St.John’s. Edwards however was instrumental in Windies drawing the Test Match as he batted for 36 deliveries and most importantly remained not out till the end! The fast bowler had to bat with Daren Ganga as his runner. Getting back to Pedro Collins, he last played for West Indies in 2005 against South Africa and having played 29 Tests, he has taken 96 wickets. Collins has a decent return to his bowling taking 3-five wicket hauls. The left armer had recently come back into competitive cricket after hibernating for quiet sometime due to a stress fracture to his back. Pedro Collins had played 5 Tests against India picking up 10 wickets. The 2nd Test match begins on the 10th and West Indies haven’t made any other changes apart from this.

West Indies Squad for the 2nd Test : Brian Lara (Captain), Chris Gayle, Daren Ganga, Ramnaresh Sarwan, Shivnarine Chanderpaul, Runako Morton, Dwayne Bravo, Denesh Ramdin (Wicket Keeper), Ian Bradshaw, Jerome Taylor, Corey Collymore, Dave Mohammed, Pedro Collins
