Sachin Tendulkar is ‘Cricketer of the Year 2010’

Sachin Tendulkar ICC AwardsSachin Tendulkar was named as the Cricket of the Year 2010 to win the Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy. This is Sachin’s first ever ICC Award despite being unquestionably the best player in the world for more than 15 years. The 7th Edition of the ICC Awards was held at Bangalore in India.

The ‘Test Player of the Year’ went to Virender Sehwag while India won the award of the ‘Test Team of the Year’. AB de Villiers of South Africa got the ‘ODI Player of the Year’ while Brendon McCullum of New Zealand was the ‘Best T20I Player of the Year’. Australia was the ‘ODI Team of the Year’.
