New Zealand have won the 3-ODI Series Cool and Cool Cup in Abu Dhabi after Pakistan failed to chase a moderate target of 212. The match saw some horrendous batting collapses on what was a placid wicket. The Kiwis won the toss and batted first and were in a formidable position until the spinners did the turn around. Brendon McCullum top scored again for NZ, this time with 76 from 78 balls with 6 fours and 3 sixes. Ross Taylor was the second highest scorer with a 69-ball 44. The Black Caps were bowled out in just 46.3 overs with Saeed Ajmal weaving his magic to take 4 wickets.

Pakistan were well set to chase the target at 47 for 0 in the 9th over but they had a terrible collapse to find themselves at 86 for 8! The last wicket pair of Mohammad Aamer and Saeed Ajmal sprung a surprise by putting on a partnership of 103 runs! The Kiwis almost lost the match due to this pair and in the end just managed to hold on to a 7-run win. Mohammad Aamer scored an unbeaten 73 from 81 with 7 fours and 3 sixes, which is the highest ever score by a no. 10 in ODIs. Saeed Ajmal gave him valuable support with 33.

All the Kiwi bowlers were amongst the wickets and big man Jacob Oram was the most successful with 3 for 20. Aamer was the Man of the Match and Brendon McCullum walked away with the Player of the Series.
