Exciting fast bowler Shane Bond returns back to Test Cricket after a gap of two years after being picked in the New Zealand Squad for the first Test at Dunedin against Pakistan.
New Zealand have picked quite a strong unit except for Jesse Ryder who is out of action with an absuctor muscle strain. Ryder was injured during the IPL in South Africa while representing Royal Challengers Bangalore.
It is a 13-man squad led by Daniel Vettori which also has a recall to medium pacer Daryl Tuffey who like Bond had severed ties with the Indian Cricket league to get back into the mainstream. The Dunedin Test starts on the 24th of this month.
