Pakistan overcame its 1-2 defeat in the ODI Series with a comprehensive 47-run win in the first T20I at the Dubai Sports City. Pakistan who were sent into bat first put up 161/8 on board and in reply the Kiwi batting crumbled to get bowled out for 112. The star of the night was opener Imran Nazir who scored a blistering 58 from 38 balls with 5 fours and 4 sixes. New Zealand went into the game without Daniel Vettori who is suffering from concussions after getting hit on the side of his helmet by a bouncer in the second ODI.
