Rain has saved Pakistan from a possible defeat and help them draw the 3-Test Series 1-1. New Zealand needing 208 to win from a minimum of 43 overs got to 90 for no loss in just 19 overs. Unfortunately rain spoilt the efforts of debutant BJ Watling who was looking dominant on 60 from 69 balls (with 9 fours and a six).

Earlier in the day, Pakistan stretched their overnight score of 347 for 4 to 455. Umar Akmal went onto score 77 and his brother Kamran Akmal remained unbeaten on 56. New Zealand Skipper was given the Man of the Match.
