SA down Kiwis by 13 runs in Super Eights

Albie Morkel BridgetownSouth Africa defeated a laid-back New Zealand by 13 runs in he second Super Eights Match at the Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, Barbados. Proteas after being asked to bat first posted a healthy 170 for 4 thanks to an energetic 72-run stand between AB de Villiers (47* from 39 balls) and Man of the Match Albie Morkel (40 from 18 balls with 5 sixes).

Kiwis in their chase never showed any urgency in the first 10 overs to bat themselves out of the match. They finished with 157 for 7. Jesse Ryder was their top scorer with 33 from 28 balls. The fielding from SA was brilliant especially from Herschelle Gibbs who picked up three catches with two of them being absolute stunners.
