Daniel Vettori would be leading the Black Caps in the Chappel-Hadlee Series that begins on the 3rd of December at Auckland. Stephen Fleming has been ruled out of the first two ODIs because of undergoing a surgery for a benign tumour around the jaw-ear area. Fleming is expected to be fit to play for New Zealand in the 3rd ODI at Christchurch. All rounders Chris Cairns and Jacob Oram who had missed the South Africa tour are back in the side. Nathan Astle would be Vettori’s deputy.
