Yousuf appointed as Pak Test Captain; Younis takes a break

Younis Khan has stepped down from the Pakistani Captaincy yet again and has also asked the PCB to rest him for the upcoming 3-Test Series in New Zealand. The Pakistan Cricket Board has decided to appoint run machine Mohammad Yousuf as the Test Captain.

It is learnt that most of the players have been unhappy to play under Younis as the Captain since few days and that Younis in return has been of the opinion that they are underpeforming wantedly.

Younis Khan has been under tremendous pressure on and off the field ever since the defeat in the hands of New Zealand in the Champions Trophy. Pakistan also lost the 3-ODI Series against the Kiwis in Abu Dhabi. Younis himself failed to get any good score in the three matches and was criticized for his team selections.
