Michael Clarke scored 166Australia totally dominated the second day’s play at Hobart by reducing Pakistan to 94 for 4 after declaring its first innings at 519 for 8. Overnight batsmen Ricky Ponting has gone onto score 209 (from 354 balls with 25 fours) and Michael Clarke finished up with 166 (from 328 balls with 19 fours). The pair piled up a 352-run partnership for the fourth wicket.

Pakistan in their reply are crawling at 94 for 4 in 36 overs. Opener Salman Butt has survived the day on 34 (from 99 balls) along with Shoaib Malik who has just come onto the crease. Peter Siddle has done the damage taking two wickets while the other two wickets came through run outs that of Skipper Mohammad Yousuf and Umar Akmal.
