England Selectors have added up Middlesex all rounder Jamie Dalrymple to the Squad for the Old Trafford Test Match. The Test Squad has been increased to 14 with Liam Plunkett being doubtful to play the Test match after straining his side during the three-day game against West Indies at Chester-le-Street. Andrew Strauss has been named as the Skipper for the rest of the Test Series with Andrew Flintoff being ruled out for atleast another 12 weeks due to his ankle surgery. The Skipper for the One Day Series to follow after this 4-Tests Series will be picked later. Jamie Dalrymple had an impressive start to his ODI Career performing well with both the bat and the ball. England might drop Liam Plunkett who wasn’t that impressive in the Lord’s Test and it could be a toss up between Jamie Dalrymple and Sajid Mahmood with the rest of the line up remaining the same. The 1st Test match at Lord’s had ended in a draw and the 2nd Test Match starts from the 27th.

England Squad for 2nd Test : Andrew Strauss (Captain), Marcus Trescothick, Alastair Cook, Kevin Pietersen, Paul Collingwood, Ian Bell, Geraint Jones (Wicket Keeper), Liam Plunkett, Matthew Hoggard, Sajid Mahmood, Steve Harmison, Jon Lewis, Monty Panesar, Jamie Dalrymple
