Michael Hussey smacked a scintillating knock of 60* from 24 balls (with 3 fours and 6 sixes) to clinch an unbelievable win for Australia in the Second Semi Final against Pakistan. Australia despite being in neck deep trouble at 62 for 4 in the 9th over chased down an intimidating target of 192. Hussey’s clean hitting saw Australia through although as many as 18 runs were needed from the final over of the match.
After being put to bat first under cloudy conditions, Pakistan got off to a splendid start and the Akmal brothers consolidated on that to help their side reach 191 for 6. Umar Akmal was brilliant in an unbeaten innings of 56 from 35 balls with 2 fours and 4 sixes while his older brother Kamran Akmal made 50 from 34 balls with 6 fours and 2 sixes.
