Salman Butt led Pakistan to a historic Test win against Australia and with that brought an end to a string of 13 defeats. Needing 40 more runs to win, Pakistan made heavy weather losing four wickets in quick time but the third day’s century stand between Imran Farhat and Azhar Ali had meant that defeat was not a reality anymore. Pakistan though had held its nerve towards the end with a 3-wicket win. Hilfenhaus and Bollinger bowled their hearts out and both finished with three wickets each.
Mohammad Aamer and Shane Watson were awarded with the Man of the Match. Pakistan with this win have drawn the 2-Test Series. The last time Pakistan had defeated Australia in a Test Match was way back in 1995!
