Marcus North picked up six wickets with his friendly off breaks as Pakistan crashed to a 150-run defeat in the first Test at Lord’s. Australia survived a difficult morning session in which Pakistan was going well towards the target of 440. Opener Salman Butt was keeping one end firmly before getting stumped off the bowling of Marcus North. The left hander fell for 92 and would later share the Man of the Match with Simon Katich. Leg Spinner Steven Smith joined the party taking three wickets.
