Pakistan win Oval Test by 4 wickets

Mohammad AamerPakistan have clinched a 4-wicket win in the third Test at The Oval after chasing down a moderate target of 148 on the fourth day. Despite Graeme Swann’s triple strikes, Pakistan got home with not many runs to chase. England still hold the lead in this series at 2-1. This third test was as good as lost for the hosts on the first day when they were bundled out for just 233.

Pakistan through a heroic 92 not out from Azhar Ali clinched a vital lead of 75 runs in their first innings. The hosts looked good in their second innings with Alastair Cook returning back to form with his 13th hundred but the duo of Mohammad Amir and Saeed Ajmal produced magic spells to bowl England out for 222 and leave Pakistan just 148 to win the match which they did losing six wickets in 41.4 overs. The Man of the Match was Mohammad Amir for taking a five-wicket haul in the second innings.
