Pakistan wins its three-day match against Northants

Pakistan has won its three-day match against Northants by 7 wickets. The tourists took a little over 40 overs to reach the moderate target of 160 and most importantly the two struggling openers Salman Butt and Imran Farhat have hit form by scoring attractive half centuries. Salman Butt was the top scorer making 84 from 120 balls with the help of 15 fours and Imran Farhat made 64 with the help of 6 fours and 2 sixes. The two batsmen put on 118 for the 1st wicket. Taufeeq Umar who was called up to replace the ruled out Shoaib Malik in this tour failed with the bat making just two and that should mean that Pak might continue with the opening combination of Salman Butt and Imran Farhat. Pakistan now take four days break before going into the Old Trafford Test Match.
