South Africa have been knocked out of the ICC World Twenty20 after losing their final Super Eights game against Pakistan at Gros Islet by 11 runs. In a very dull performance, South Africa finished at 137 for 7 chasing a target of only 150.
Saeed Ajmal was the bowling hero for Pakistan taking 4 for 26. For the South Africans, except AB de Villiers (53 from 41 balls with a four and 2 sixes), none of the batsmen clicked.
Earlier, Umar Akmal set the match up for Pakistan with a breezy 51 from 33 balls with 2 fours and 4 sixes. His brother Kamran Akmal (37 from 33 balls) and Skipper Shahid Afridi (30 from 18 balls) provided crucial support. Charl Langeveldt picked up 4 for 19 for SA.
