Shehzad, Misbah hit tons to set up Pak’s win over Tigers

Ahmed ShehzadRiding on centuries from opener Ahmed Shehzad (103 from 122 balls with 9 fours and a six) and Misbah-ul-Haq (100 from 100 balls with 8 fours and 4 sixes), Pakistan defeated hosts Bangladesh by a comprehensive margin of 89 runs in their Warm Up Match at Mirpur.

Pakistan electing to bat first after winning the toss put up 285 for 9 in 50 overs with only Shehzad and Misbah coming good. The rest of the batting crumbled with the Bangladeshi Skipper Shakib Al Hasan taking three wickets for 49 in 10 overs with his left arm spin. Speedster Rubel Hossain also claimed three wickets but was on the expensive side going for 73 runs.

Bangladesh in their run chase folded to 196 all out in 41.4 overs with none of the batsmen getting to a half century. Abdul Razzaq did the damage with his medium pace taking 3 for 31 while spinners – Mohammad Hafeez and Abdur Rehman took two wickets each.
