Vaughan out of the Multan Test

Michael Vaughan’s knee injury has put him out of the 1st Test at Multan. Vaughan had injured his knee while attempting a third run during the warm up match against Pakistan A at the Bagh-e-Jinnah Ground in Lahore. Marcus Trescothick would be the stand in skipper for the 1st Test Match that begins on the 12th of this month. Vaughan is expected to be back for the 2nd Test. Essex opening batsman Alastair Cook has been flew in to give cover to the skipper and also keeping in mind that Andrew Strauss would be heading home during the 3rd Test for the birth of his baby.
