upto Inzy to save the Series |
Pakistan
has looked upto
Inzamam-ul-Haq to save the Test Series
against South Africa after the hosts had lost
the first Test at Karachi following batting
failures. What has been revealed by the Pakistan
Cricket Board is the fact that Inzamam-ul-Haq
will play the second and final Test at Lahore
which is going to be the last match of his
international career.
The 37-year-old Inzamam
wasn't picked for the first Test at Karachi
after he had made himself unavailable for
selection. The Selectors have retained the same
squad that was picked for the first Test with
Inzamam-ul-Haq's name being an addition. Inzamam
is also on the verge of creating history of
becoming the highest run getter for Pakistan in
Test Cricket as he is just 20 runs shy of
overtaking Javed Miandad who had got 8832 runs.
The second and final Test starts on the 8th.
Interestingly Inzamam had signed a contract with
the Indian Cricket League despite the warning of
a ban from the Pakistan Cricket Board.
