New Zealand post 276 for 6 on first day of Dunedin Test

Hosts New Zealand recovered to 276 for 6 in the opening day’s play of the 1st Test at the University Oval in Dunedin. The Kiwis had lost a wicket in the first ball of the match itself. They were brought back into the game by opener Martin Guptill (60) and Ross Taylor (94).

In the last session, New Zealand slipped back into trouble losing three wickets and needed Brendon McCullum (25*) and Vettori (40*) to repair the innings. For Pakistan, Mohammad Asif was the pick of the bowlers taking three wickets. His new ball partner Mohammad Aamer took a couple of wickets.
