After the conclusion of the much-hyped farewell Test Series for Sachin Tendulkar, it is going to be back to business for Team India and West Indies. The two teams will play a 3-match ODI Series which begins on the 21st at Kochi. Indian fans would be hoping to see some nicely fought contests atleast in the ODIs as West Indies were simply terrible in the Test Series with innings defeat in less than three days in both the Tests.

For starters, there is a leadership change for West Indies when it comes to ODIs with all-rounder Dwayne Bravo taking over the reigns from Darren Sammy. The side has been boosted with the arrival of Lendl Simmons, seamer Ravi Rampaul and spin magician Sunil Narine. One can expect Chris Gayle to fire his guns when it comes to the limited version of the game.

For India, the 3-match series will test Yuvraj Singh whether he can contribute with the bat or not. Yuvraj had a dreadful series against Australia although he did play a fabulous knock in the one-off T20I in his international comeback.

The first ODI at the Nehru Stadium in Kochi will start at 1:30 in the afternoon and the same will be the timings for the second ODI at Vizag on the 24th. The third and final ODI will be a day affair at Kanpur which will start at 9:00 AM.

The venue for the first ODI – the Nehru Stadium has witnessed heavy rains in the recent days but the weather should stay fine for Thursday. The Stadium will see the inauguration of the ‘Sachin Tendulkar Pavilion’ ahead of the ODI.
