Pakistan took a 2-0 lead after defeating hosts West Indies by a comfortable margin of 7 wickets in the Second ODI at the Beausejour Stadium in Gros Islet, St Lucia. Needing only 221 for a win, Pakistan got there with a couple of overs to spare with opener Ahmed Shehzad leading the way with a knock of 102 from 148 balls which contained 7 fours and a six.
Asked to bat first by the visitors, West Indies were bowled out for 220 in the allotted 50 overs with four Pakistani bowlers taking two wickets each. Opener Lendl Simmons was the top scorer of the shaky innings with 51 from 48 balls with 4 fours and 2 sixes. Ahmed Shehzad who scored a century for Pakistan got the Man of the Match award.
