Jamaican Fast bowler Jerome Taylor has been ruled out of the ongoing Test Series against Australia with a back injury. Taylor will return back home for treatment. The 25-year-old broke down after bowling 9 overs on Day 1 of the first Test at Gabba which the West Indies lost inside three days. Taylor had a good start to the series after getting Shane Watson out for 0 before straining his hip.

Jerome Taylor’s place is likely to be taken by Gavin Tonge who is already part of the squad in Australia. No replacement from the Caribbean has been named as of now. West Indies will be weakened without Taylor going into the next Test but at the same time will be happy to have Ramnaresh Sarwan back after recovering from a back stiffness.
