Marlon Samuels played a sizzling knock of 63 from 30 balls which was powered with half a dozen sixes which helped Windies make shortwork of a competitive target set by Kenya at Benoni. Kenya put on 155 for 5 after being asked to bat first by Sarwan. Tanmay Mishra was the top scorer with a steady 43 while opener Maurice Ouma and Thomas Odoyo chipped in with thirties. It was Odoyo’s 22-ball 33 that had three sixes and skipper Steve Tikolo’s 12-ball 20 that had given the finish for Kenyans.

Windies were given a double blow in the space of three balls but were put back on the track through a 105-run stand between Chanderpaul (46* in 33 with 4 fours and two sixes) and Samuels. Windies coasted to a six-wicket win with 15 balls to spare.
