South Africa took the crucial 2-0 lead after defeating hosts West Indies by 17 runs at North Sound. Batting first, SA piled up 300 for 5 with Hashim Amla (92) and Jacques Kallis (85) laying the foundation. West Indies put up an improved show but got bowled out for 283. Dale Richards (51), Dwayne Bravo (74) and Darren Sammy (58* from 24 balls with 2 fours and 6 sixes) got amongst the runs for the homeside.
