West Indies A pull off a comfortable win over Durham

West Indies A pulled off a dramatic win over Durham after the homeside was bundled out for just 148 in their second innings. The target for the tourists in their second innings was just 95. West Indies A had lost its openers Devon Smith and Sewnarine Chattergoon to reach the target which they did in a little over 21 overs. The tourists who were at 24 for 2 in reply to Durham’s 310 went onto put up 364 in their first innings with Runako Morton scoring a century. Dwayne Smith, wicket keeper Patrick Browne and tail ender Daren Powell scored half centuries to help Windies take a useful lead of 54 in their first innings. Liam Plunkett took a couple of wickets but he left the field after getting a side strain. Durham in their second innings were blown away by Tino Best and Andrew Richardson who took the top five wickets. Dwayne Smith chipped in with three wickets in the end as the homeside was bowled in just under 38 overs. Tino Best finished with 3 for 32 in 8 overs and Dwayne Smith had incredible success in getting 3 wickets in just under 6 overs.
