Bangladesh won the third ODI at the Shere Bangla National Stadium at Mirpur yesterday night by 4 wickets to take a 2-1 lead in the 5-ODI Series against Zimbabwe.

The hosts Bangladesh were set a target of 197 which they chased down in 40.4 overs. Opener Tamim Iqbal smashed 80 from 72 balls with 10 fours and 2 sixes while Mohammad Ashraful held the innings together with a responsible 63 from 91 balls. The Tigers had a mini collapse losing 4 wickets at the cost of 19 runs but they were already close to the target by then.

Zimbabwe were asked to bat first after losing the toss. Skipper Hamilton Masakadza scored an attractive 84 from 79 balls with 12 fours and a six at the top of the order but his side collapsed to 196 all out in 41.1 overs. Only three other batsmen apart from him got into double figures.
