Bangladesh leveled the 5-ODI Series 1-1 after trashing Zimbabwe in the Second ODI at Mirpur by 7 wickets yesterday. Zimbabwe batted first this time after winning the toss and were bowled out for 219. Left Arm Spinner Abdur Razzak ran through their batting capturing 5 for 29. Spinners Naeem Islam and Mohammad Ashraful picked up a couple of wickets each. For Zimbabwe, no.7 batsman Malcolm Waller was the top scorer with a quick fire 40.

The homeside made shortwork of the target after the openers – Junaid Siddique and Tamim Iqbal got into the Twenty20 mode to put up almost a fifty in less than 4 overs! Both batsmen failed to kick on and could score just in the 20s. The Bangladeshi Skipper Shakib Al Hasan sustained the pressure on Zimbabwe with an smashing unbeaten 105 in just 69 balls with 15 fours and 3 sixes. He helped Bangladesh reach the target of 220 in just 29.3 overs! The Man of the Match award was given to Razzak instead of Shakib.
