Trinidad & Tobago beat Brisbane Heat by 25 runs

Trinidad & Tobago, the domestic champions in the Caribbean, defeated Brisbane Heat by 25 runs (Scorecard) in a Group B Match of CLT20 2013 at Ranchi on Sunday evening. The Denesh Ramdin led team went onto successfully defend a small target of 135 on a pitch that had some moisture content because of the rains.

Denesh Ramdin, himself was the hero of the T&T victory by playing a captain’s knock of 48 from 34 balls with 4 fours and 2 sixes while the other batsmen struggled to get going. This was after T&T were put into bat first after losing the toss by the Brisbane Heat Captain James Hopes.

Brisbane Heat showed lack of class in its batting to fold out to 110 all out in 18.4 overs. Opener Joe Burns was the top scorer but with a slow knock of 45 from 43 balls. Ravi Rampaul wrecked the Brisbane Heat batting taking 4 for 14.
