Graeme Smith scored 162* on Day 3 at Cape TownSouth Africa dominated Day 3 completely to take control of the third Test at Newlands, Cape Town. Skipper Graeme Smith has plundered an unbeaten 162 (from 243 balls with 22 fours) to power South Africa to 312 for 2 in their second innings.

The left handed Smith got solid support from Hashim Amla who scored 95 (from 156 balls with 14 fours). This is Graeme Smith’s 18th test century and the hosts now lead by 330 runs with 8 wickets in hand.

Earlier in the day, England were bowled out for 273 to concede a slender lead of 18. Overnight batsman Matt Prior finished with 76 and England lost its three wickets at the addition of just 32 runs. Morne Morkel ended up with 5 for 75 and Steyn with the wicket of Prior got 4 for 74.
