Danish Kaneria took four wickets on Day 3 at SydneyPakistan are most certain to win the second Test at Sydney after Australia conceding a first innings lead of 206 collapsed to 286 for 8 at the close of the third day’s play. The hosts are hanging in there with a lead of just 80 runs with Michael Hussey left with the no.10 and no.11.

The visitors did extremely well to find themselves in a winning position as Australia started solidly in their second innings with a century opening stand. The seamers produced the wicket taking deliveries on the responsive pitch and leggie Danish Kaneria was too good with his wide variety. Opener Shane Watson top scored with 97 (from 158 balls with 11 fours and three sixes). Michael Hussey is unbeaten on 73 (from 149 balls with 10 fours) but has been very lucky to be dropped twice by Kamran Akmal off Danish Kaneria.

Kaneria got plenty of turn and bounce to capture four wickets while Umar Gul took three wickets including that of Skipper Ricky Ponting. Earlier in the day, Pakistan could add only two more runs to its overnight total of 331 for 9.
