Pakistan thrash Sri Lanka for a bonus point win

Pakistan crushed Sri Lanka by 6 wickets in the 3rd match of the Asia Cup at Mirpur. Pakistan after bowling out the Lankans for just 188 chased the mediocre target in just 39.5 overs to win the match with a bonus point.

Batting first after winning the toss, Sri Lanka were shaken up at 65 for 4 in the 15th over. A couple of half centuries from Kumar Sangakkara (71 from 92 balls with 4 fours and a six) and Upul Tharanga (57 from 74 balls with 4 fours) could only help Sri Lanka to 188 all out in 45.4 overs. Speedster Aizaz Cheema captured 4 for 43 which got him the Man of the Match award later.

Pakistan chased the runs with 61 balls to spare and losing only 4 wickets. Although, Pakistan was stuttering at 33 for 3 in 12.5 overs, they got home comfortably thanks to a 152-run stand between Skipper Misbah-ul-Haq (72* from 93 balls with 9 fours and a six) and Umar Akmal (77 from 72 balls with 7 fours and 2 sixes).
