Oz in driver’s seat despite second innings collapse

Australia have been reduced to 137 for 8 in their second innings but they are still the favourites to win the third Test at Perth. Left arm quick Doug Bollinger had picked up five wickets to bowl out West Indies for 312 which helped the hosts get a first innings lead of 208. The tourists had resumed the third day’s play on 214 for 2. Apart from Bollinger, off spinner Nathan Hauritz picked up three wickets.

The Australians are collapsing in their second innings with Dwayne Bravo capturing four wickets. The last wicket to fall in the day’s play was that of Ricky Ponting who came in at no.9 because of an injured elbow. The Aussies have an overall lead of 345 with two wickets in hand.
