Pakistan cruise to 8-wicket win in First ODI

Pakistan defeated hosts West Indies by a comfortable margin of 8 wickets with 51 balls to spare in the 1st ODI at Beausejour Stadium in Gros Islet, St Lucia. West Indies who won the toss and elected to bat first came up with a modest total of 221 for 6 in the allotted 50 Overs with the top scorer being Darren Bravo who scored a slow 67 from 109 balls.

The visitors got to the target losing just two wickets in 41.3 overs with three batsmen – Mohammad Hafeez (54 from 45 balls with 7 fours and a six), Asad Shafiq (61* from 76 balls with 7 fours) and Misbah-ul-Haq (73* from 90 balls with 5 fours and a six) all finding some form early in this 5-ODI Series.
