West Indies were declared winners by just the one run in what was a rain-affected fourth ODI against Pakistan at the Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, Barbados. The hosts were given a revised target of 223 in 39 overs with rain delaying the start of their innings. Rain hit the ground again after 29.5 overs with West Indies ahead of the par Duckworth/Lewis Metod score by just the one run at 154 for 4 with no further cricket possible. It was a superb knock of 76 from 70 balls with 4 fours and 3 sixes from opener Lendl Simmons which set up West Indies’ first win of this 5-match series.

Earlier, Pakistan who were asked to bat first reached 248 for 9 with opener Mohammad Hafeez batting long to score 121 from 138 balls with 7 fours and 3 sixes. Hafeez got solid support from no.3 Asad Shafiq who made 71 from 102 balls with 4 fours. Once again leg spinner Devendra Bishoo bowled well for the hosts taking 3 for 37 in 10 overs. The Man of the Match went to Mohammad Hafeez who also chipped in with 1 for 26 in 6 overs but his all-round efforts were just short of taking Pakistan to a 4-0 lead.
